and supporting what you said. some people don't understand a simple question.
and i would have to disagree with you on a few points. i think the site that you showed is a nice site, but is not close to the clean design of trendax .
the firestorm site is too busy and the navigation architecture isn't as clean; too much in your face all at once.
and i do agree with you about the techincal aspect, it is really nice.as far as aesthetically reminding you of the firestorm site... kool, but it really reminds me of the clones from Star wars ..... the body that is. i know that sounds a bit corny:) but to each his own.
i cannot say anything bad about the site, so i was wondering about those that disliked it for one reason or another.

I agree....very tacky. The typography is horrible. using the
same type that is in the logo, on buttond and what not just doesnt fly. Plus I hate those psuedo future fonts that scream
"TACK" E , and the body font in
the interface isn"t work for some reason. I do give them props for making it readable. Wonder how the site looks in 800 by 600 rez
the torquose and metal also looks like cheesy future. predictable, I think fantasy interfaces pulls this style off very nicely. IMHO. And 2A also.
Who is we needs a designer. to work with there 3d flash boys. simple as that.

Hmmm... I can see and understand the opinions of both parties here, but as in the past, there seems to be a pattern of hatin' on site launches from major design firms... especially from those coming out of 2A.
Don't get me wrong, opinions should always be welcomed, but in this community where the average user is a designer, it is expected to give a proper critique without forfeiting your opinion with a simple "thats tacky"... or "that sucks". I saw Eric Jordan's reply to a repetitive bashing of his Bacardi mixer and he was totally right. There simply are too many wannabe designers in here talking out of their arses without the proper critique to solidify their words. Especially when I am seeing these sames sites winning many awards (judged by highly acclaimed designers) and these punks here have nothing to show for other than their site they just put together in Geocities. Come on peeps... lets keep it positive.

i thought it was an amazing site and i am sure that in the proffesioanl world and amoungst real designers the site will fly high.

i guess this is what i have to deal with when you ask a bunch of people with less than half of a brain to use it for a change.

I said it before and i'll say it again.
Whosewe has nice 3d skills.
They have 0 design skills.There is NO design implemented in whosewe's site or the trendax site. it's 100% gimmick. They need to look up the definition of design sometime.

OK... I usually tend to stay on the neutral side... but CAB24K... what site are you looking at?... because the trendax site that I am looking at doesnt even use the same font as its logo... and last time i checked psuedo future fonts was ALL that fantasy interfaces uses... I wonder if maybe you're sippin' on some hater-aide as well.

they dont even care to make it appealing to their targetting audience, even if it was for a nightclub, featuring a starwars night I still wouldn like it.
To many things going on, distracting from the main objective, the interphase looks like a futuristic video game, what does that have to do with trendax? did I missunderstood and they are a new video game console making company?
I don't think so..

vern, i said they needed a designer to work with there 3d guys idiot. they have mad 3d skills, never said they didnt, They won an award for 3D work. nothing else. I am not a hater, love the work 2a and FA do. the who is we work just doesnt cut it, look at ther portfolio, I am not gonna lie on a crittin a site, and be like wow that is great, there amazing blah blah, when i dont think that.

I love how people go soft over this cheese 3d they do.
You guys never saw real 3d if you go soft on these.
The site itself made me alt-f4 quicker than on an unwanted pop up screen.
