Any tips for approaching Agencies for freelance work?

compile a list of all the agencies you'd like to work for.
Visit their websites and get relevant email addresses.
Email all of them with a link to your portfolio, telling them how much you admire their agency etc. Obviously you need to taylor your email to each company.
If no response, call them after a few days to check they got your email.
Remember if you email 100 places, and have a fail rate of 99 you'll be better off than now so don't get discouraged!

Wow. Thanks Vespa, that's awesome advice. I've been busy with Entourage lately, compiling lists of contacts but as yet have had no responses. Just need to plow on really, I guess.
