what I don't get is how no one says anything for the most part about how shitty the iraqi people have it...how 15% million have gone into exile...how 1,000's or children are dying daily...how saddam torture rapes, murders, beats, shoots, stabs, gouges, drags, gases, his own people daily! And America is the inhumane ones by wanting to stop this evil "person".... so we don't do anything ...the world hasn't for over a decade and let this asshole do whatever he wants? The un is a joke. Saddam lost his rights when he lost the gulf war....he shouldn't have a say or be blocking anything...
But the world is to caught up in their own agenda...ie france with arms dealing to iraq...billions of dollars in iraq and that is ok to support this type of leader?seems to be a double standard in my view...i see folks protesting war but not pleading for humanity...War is not humane but how else can he be taken out of power..he will never leave and will continue killing his own people no matter what...

well let's see...they are willing to throw SEVERAL BILLION..possibly ONE TRILLION dollars at this problem....
(by the way...it's a problem the US and UK created when we drew up the borders of Iraq years ago..for oil reasons....then ARMED SADDAM and did nothing when he gassed the kurds and iranians because it served our purpose. Not to mention that human rights are much worse in places like Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Qatar...yet these guys are our allies...atleast until we are finished USING them and decide to turn on them and attack them for 'Humanitarian' reasons...bullshit. AND...there are FAR worse places in this world for people to live..like Sudan, North Korea...ISRAEL<--the most racist nation on the planet... unlike most muslim nations, Iraqi women are enouraged to seek higher education and don't have to hide their faces. it is mandatory for EVERYONE to be educated and atleast know how to read. freedom of religion is also engouraged...it's only when dissent takes place that Saddam starts to get evil....just like bush and his new patriot act.)
note* the only difference between bush and saddam is a PR firm and trillions of dollars spent on defense.
SO.....what to do about it you ask?
Well give me a few hundred trillion dollars, the attention of the opposing tribes of Iraq and a few good men and he would be OUSTED.
but that wouldn't put the oil in my pocket now would it. THAT is the point.

Thinkmule, the US has great share of responsibility for what Saddam could become... an evil dictator.
The US has strengthened the regime enormously in a far past.
and speaking about alternatives, you should follow the news better, both the Germans and the French had good alternatives. Blix never got to finish his job anyway.

The people in Iraq have it bad huh?
Well they were doing fine until we AGAINST INTERNATIONAL LAW attacked their civilian population and destroyed their infrastructure, including their water sanitizatijon stations, hydro-electric dams, hospitals and schools.
and the SACTIONS we placed on them in hopes they would overthrow saddam (which is why we didn't take him out to begin with) deny them the access to vital medicines they need to fight illness. this has killed hundreds of thousands of people in the last 10 years.
Blame it on Saddam if you want but it was the US who put those sanctions on them. (you can say UN sanctions but we know who's running this show)
What the US did was ILLEGAL just as what they are doing now is.
Don't cast stones at someone who is begging for food.
