ouch
that place is beautiful, slopes when its cold, trails when warm. plus the hotties that roll in, you dont have to use yer real name at the bar if you dont want to, they are leaving tomorrow anyway

it was a hottie-reservoir. i have never, ever, ever ever ever, seen so many hot chicks in one place. i would move there on that fact alone...were it not for a serious relationship i am in.
i loved that friggin place.my best friend went to CU, so i would go out there and visit every year...nicer than toronto.

yuck, that job sounds boring.
- jevad0
yeah it does - but it's a job.
- clearblur0
Interesting, if it seems so boring, why am I about to trudge through over a foot of snow to get to work there today?
Granted, we don't do 3d vector MTV commercials, or the latest gucci website, as we decided providing beautiful data visualization tools and being profitable are more important to us.
We have work on leading financial and brokerage websites, and our team never tires in exploring the latest in technology, data visualization and information architecture, and we have a beautiful 180 degree view of the boulder flatirons to boot.
Still sound boring?

=) clearblur. Just saying. I do understand that when in need that job would sound better than being PDIDDY's right hand man. I am thankful to have a job that I like and has so many different things to do in it from print to flash banners to exciting clients. Everyday is something new. Maybe just not my bag. But don't mean to be rude about it. Snow is CO? That's stinky. Just getting warm here in ny.

actually a very interesting and challenging job. great atmosphere, smart people, excellent designers. i'm very happy to be here and i'm not the type to settle for just any job.
- swollini0
is all of that office on NT? sorry guys, can i come work with you now? =)
- clearblur0
Yeah, on a normal day, about 1/3 of us might check at some point, and today, there's 3 or 4 of us paying attention. Amon Tobin and Mad Professor on the radio, snow pounding down outside (we heard rumor of chest-deep powder in the mountains today), and flash/java/photoshop/asp galore. Can't complain. :)

It's a different design scenario than most studios, but if you know who Ben Schneiderman is and why he's relevant, think Tufte's work is epic, admire the modularity of grid systemes and they're application to dynamic content, and are interested in translating data into understanding al la Saul Wurman, it's a good wide open environment to explore and learn.
The team is definitely heavy on the technology and implementation side, delivering photoshop comps and walking away from them is not something that we are interested in, we try and get people who can use both sides of they're brain and are interested in creating elegant design executed with cleverness.
But you know, I've been here for five years after leaving agency.com during the heyday so I may be biased (and we still get massages and a stocked kitchen.)
But you're right definitely not for everyone.
- swollini0
rock on you guys! keep on being...
If i'm ever in Boulder I got the first round of cold ones.
- clearblur0
Hopefully they'll still be cold, it was 70degrees just last week, and who knows what next will bring, mua ha ha.

the office:
- jevad0
heh!
having met with chris (whatever) at the wall st offices last week I can attest to the fact that the work being done at wallst.com is absoultely bloody amazing, and I retract the statement I made earlier in this thread and throw myself at the mercy of those I will meet tomorrow as having clouded judgement at the time of writing last!
^_^
Are clearblur and lo9ic still there?
- jevad0
* bump
