I actually use DAT recorders as well, they are stronger than MD's, but too much money.

I love non-war talk, I plan on putting a downloader section on loopkit.com for just listening to the loops that way people will get an idea which better ones are on it. Right now, those aren't the best ones just small ones.

oops sorry miklo that is...
- JazX0
no don't got it for that

miklo let me talk to my buddy Brian, he's got that stuff I think. Robotron3k, yeah man it's really crazy what kinda' stuff you can do today. It's almost unbelievable what you can do with MIDI etc. Cakewalk is pretty good actually and so is SONAR one of their products. Native Instruments make some nice stuff too. http://www.native-instruments.de… I think? I've sold many loops and songs to clients as well including SONY-COLUMBIA Pictures and http:///www.angelsmith.net. our CD doesn't come out just yet. But for $30 bucks, trust me we give those to you because we want to sell in bulk to retailers. Custom work is too far in between it's all corporate.

def... for sure JazX, i like what i hear, we may pick up one for the office, (it would be nice to see a corporate pack), we usually pick up short melodies for our projects (buying rights out for our clients, cause they are big on that) here which i compose for length with cakewalk, i am also interested in melodies which i can take apart and extend, i am constantly on the search for stuff, check out that site and you'll see what kind of files they create, which we need for composing...

Hey jazX
I see you make music, we should trade software..
Get me what I need and I give you username and password for our studio ftp.
I need live 2.0 (unlock code)
T-racks plug in for pro tools.
peace
- JazX0
robotron3k, you should ask me about whatever you need I can provide it for you, or you can purchase a CD from us with over 1200 sound loops for only $30 bucks. Well worth it I think... :)
- JazX0
no I generally use hardware and software to make loops and songs. You can find my hardware and software here: http://www.machvinyl.com and I use mostly Reason 2.0 from http://www.propellerheads.se as a soft synth. You can use Pro Tools for MAC or Wavelab. Depends on what you are doing, so I never judge, it's all up to the project you are on at the time. Music is open and free.

Tibook?
Sound forge?
naaaaah..
Sound forge is like for those computers that crash all the time..
:)
Get either Peak Dv or go pro tools..
now you can edit..
- robotron3k0
sweet! thanks... btw: great loops you got JazX, do you ever do work with www.killersound.com? i buy lot's of stuff from them...
- JazX0
yep fellas MAC isn't keeping up with this it seems or vice-versa with SONY, yeah but that one loaf talked about looks like the one I have for my PC. It will work for you.

check this
http://www.xitel.com/content/con…
allows digital transfer from a mini disc to a mac..
might have to hunt one of these babies down.. not played with my mini disc in awhile
- robotron3k0
here is the software created for macosx so far...
http://www.sorted.org/~pete/Xmd/…
it's still under development...
- robotron3k0
i have the same problem, sony put's out their minidisc and that nasty little usb link they have scrambles the audio tracks with their own proprietary code, which works only on a PC, they have a content reader for mac which i have checked out, but it doesn't allow you to check in/check out, you will have to do it analog style with the USB mic adapter....
- JazX0
yo, really? They just don't know the software side of PC's then, because that's an easy one. That's all you need really, you can download the MAC version of some editor, however, if you are on a MAC you will want to use Wavelab I would think. Sequencers: Logic and Pro Tools. ;)

:) thanks JazX! You must be the sh!t cause I have talked to a few very esteemed sound engineers here in Nashvegas and they've all been scratching their heads so there ya go.
