Its official, FriendsofEd's parent company has gone under and take FoE and Glasshaus with it. Thanx guys, you taught me a lot.

It seems to be doom and gloom at the moment for design publications with the recent demise of Cre@te Online too.

But does this really mean the end of this publisher, or will it be bought by some other company?

I've just been speaking to some of the authors and there is an idea being suggested to band together to resurrect it with a new publisher.

Although I am sad to see any business go under, especially one in a field that captivates so much interest for myself, one has to recognize... that is if you have ever taken notice of these publications, that greedy people are behind them all.
Take any number of Ed's books or Cre@te Online for instance. I don't know how many times I have seen the same articles or the same text reprinted in a different book or issue of a different mag published by the same company. What happened to fresh content and new insights??
One has to ask... Is it the publishing companies desire to saturate the market that has driven them into the ground?
