oh wait__it does work...but they keep changing the pattern, so with each outcome there's a different one that will always be the same symbol no matter what number you pick____i think.

answer is always a miltiple of nine. all they do is that they keep changing the symbol associated with the multiples of nine.

they're all multiples of nine (the number you end up with after doing the calculations it tells you to do) and all of the multiples of 9 have the same symbol, and therefore the flash "mind reader" will automatically choose the symbol that is for every multiple of 9 and it will always know the answer. The other symbols and numbers just make it more real. It took me 10min to figure it out and my younger siblings (ages 10-14) about 5min. I was a little embarassed but who cares.
