the framerate is laggy on os9.g3s,and g4's 500mhz below.
They improved it on osx, and you really can't tell on the faster g4s.
Who cares about flash anyways?

Probably the 90% of companies who use it on their sites... but then again Macs only count for 6%... So who cares anyway!

I use OSX and XP. I like XP, but love OSX. Not everything mind you, but it's just fun to work with.
Unix is just too much fun.
But who really cares anyway? I'm not getting myself dragged into a religious discussion on PC vs. MAC.

90% of companys with websites don't use flash. Because it's results aren't 100%. The companys who do use flash are bottle necking there potential users.

97% of people have flash in their browsers.

That doesn't mean it 100% works.
For example, Flash MX websites crash my browser, I have the latest plugin and I've even tried rolling back.
Also, thats 97% with Javascript enabled.

tfsmag, sure they'll always be viruses/secrurity issues on any platform, but right now, i don't hear any complaints from fellow xp users. they'll all working, playing computer games, and sipping their coffees. if there are memory ineffiecencies, im not aware of it, not that i have oodles of ram =P. just 256mb which is average i think.

yeah but the virus security issues on the windows platform are like ten times worse than they are on any other platform. I'm not putting PC's down as useless, I use one at work and it's fine. I'd just prefer to work on my mac.

i just had a virus. running on xp. i think windows has more potential in housing viruses than a mac.

As idiotic as it may seem... Virus writers obviusly can't be bothered with writing for the smaller userbase that is Mac.

I think the Macromedia thread sums it up when then can't even get their own product running on a mac to speed.
