hi all.
I was wondering if i could render an animation that I´ve made in 3d studio max so that I get a quicktime movie with transparent background.
I want to import it into Adobe Premiere and mix it with another movie.
Is it possible to render the movie so that I get transparent background with nice edges on the object thats beeing animated ?Cheers / force

you should be able to import the movies into specified layers that are set to multiply... :? maybe..

i mean in premiere

if you render your movie with a bright green or blue behind it you can create a chroma key in premiere which will knock out that colour making your background transparent. you have to monkey around with the settings to get it looking good, and it works better on after effects than it does in premiere.

oh ya and that too... thanks widz

render out to quicktime with a colour depth of millions+ to create an alpha layer. Works for aftereffects so should be cool for premiere too.

Any 3d software will let you render a movie with an alpha channel.
