Appreciating Life

I cam to a realisation last night as I was working.....
If I never achieve anything else in life, I can be content with the fact that I have, in my own little way, 'made it' as a designer.
Last week I had two big companies battling over me, upping each other's ante, and it makes up for all the sleepless nights and weekends spent teaching myself about design and the web, the two companies I worked for that went down with the dot-com bust, and the fact that I have been scrambling for work for the past 6 months.
I worked so hard, so fucking hard to get better and increase my range, learn new things and improve, and now it's paid off.
I get to wake up every morning and go do a job that I would happily do (and have been doing!) for nothing. I get to hang out with great people and will get to work on stuff for sony, microsoft, hp, adobe etc...
For the first time in as long as I can remember, I am honest to god happy with life, and more importantly, appreciating it, and realising that I am a very, very lucky man.
Hard work pays off kids.

congrats jevad! hard work is the only thing that you have that can separate you from the rest of the talented people out there.
btw, the menu doesn't work for me on your site. mac os 9.2.2 and ie 5.1.5.

thanks testpilot - there's a bug in the code that's preventing it working on mac's and I have been too busy to work at it lately and get it working! Sorry - thanks for the heads up though!
