well, i never reallty thought they had much substance...i mean there usability issue was a joke...i could have written a better issue (and thats not saying much) :P
i do wish there were more highend webdesign mags out other...more content based ones on theory.

I have a feeling everyone knows why they went under . . . except them.
- WildPony0
hehe, i got the idea they all had big egos...which i guess you have to have in this business...
- neeko0
i agree with all the criticisms about it, the content/articles was pretty weak... but i did enjoy thumbing through it... it was the only web design focused magazine i could pick up at the bookstore too.
i got a subscription for christmas though. would have been nice if they could have toughed it out till my subscription ran out.

they said that they are not fully sure if they are closing out ...
on email to subscribers..YEAH RIGHT!
get your money back!!!!!

there's already been a thread about this last week!
it stopped being a worthy zine after issue 5 IMHO.....

sucks..decent rag...but ya was totally on the basic side. need a good code rag.

$20 aus per issue, thats why no one in Oz bought it
- neeko0
it was pricey, thats for sure.

i must admit, my digest of each issue lasted for about 10 mins.
I'd look at the showcase section at the front then maybe read through the main article if it interested me.
it IS a shame that it has to go though as, when it first started it was pretty good - its just a shame it deteriorated.
A lot of the reportage and interviews etc tended to be all london ego-ey peops which tended not to interest me.
design exists outside london you know?
a lot of magazines tend to be bad for this. creative review is another guilty one.

yeah, it was a pap mag, that people who wanted to learn about online media read, and we're miseducated by it

Anybody see Mike Young's writings on his experiences with Create Online:
http://www.designgraphik.com/dgv…
Seems like they didnt have too many friends or admirers at the end...

Sadly... It's always all about the money... Or "How to make money without spending it"
I really enjoyed several pages of the mag... It certainly wasn't all bad...
I imagine it's not easy making a mag for people with such high standards...
- timA0
SirG... That's true... I've probably been way too critical of the magazine...
The truth is I did really really enjoy reading it... It's just I felt like I could live without it and save the 40 quid a year.
But I did enjoy it.

Anyone else gonna admit they loved it... I swear it wasn't just me.
- exador0
you're not alone timeA
i loved it too....cost about 20 bucks canadian..
but i bought it for quite awhile..used to be a big fan of Wired magazing back in the day, before it became so unbeliveably lame...
after that i found Cre@teonline...
loved it too...
oh well...
at some point some one will put out another mag that i love...
i hope...liked it so much because it was one of the only creative mags out there just dedicated to this scene...
like getting k10k, threeoh, DIK and newstoday wrapped up in a nice glossy cover..so yeah...you aint alone...i loved it too
- timA0
Cool...looking back it wasn't bad... It was dedicated to the stuff most of us love producing. I'm not sure why I didn't like it, when I didn't like it, but as I've previously said it was mostly cos I was never in it. :)
But generally when I got over that, it was fun.

good link timA.
personally, i didn't love it, but it's one of the few, if not only design-related magazines you can find at the local B&N here in the DFW area, so I kind of looked forward to each new issue... love is a strong word though.
i love video games.
- timA0
Does anyone buy any of the 3D mags... They're just pure evil that makes you feel completely inept.
