Anyone know the name of the process of rounding corners on books?

It can be fairly expensive to pay for the initial die, but is worth it if you re-use for other projects...

why, "corner rounding" of course!
an established print shop should have an array of dies kicking around from past projects... I don't know the life span of dies, but I'm sure you can get more than just one run out of them (which i would assume is what the majority of dies are made for --special use).
ask around.

if you're giving something a corner radius to keep the corners from getting smashed, a 1/8 inch radius is fairly common. so a print shop may have that already available.

yea, it's called a "rounder" it's a machine any bindery should have. an automatic one is pretty expensive, but there is a manual one too.
