was just reading about it....
looks as though there were about 100,000 ..but there's been no official figures yet

i heard that NY had like 100,000 people out and London had almost a million. Makes you think twice about war.

i have read reports that as many as 400,000 here in NYC. since the police were so hostile, many of the protestors could not assemble in the "pen" the cops set up.
it stretched from 49th all the way to 72nd.from the NY Times: "Crowd estimates are often little more than politically tinged guesses, and the police did not provide one. Organizers said that more than 400,000 people attended and, given the sea of faces extending for more than a mile up First Avenue and the ancillary crowds that were prevented from joining them, the claim did not appear to be wildly improbable."

I was so stoked on the mood today. From Brooklyn coming via the train to Manhattan. everyone seemed to be on the same page.
it was pretty incredible.of course CNN painted the protest in a totally negative light. trying to make in sensational and "dangerous" to get viewers

i was in nyc today, and it was really kinda silly. some people had signs i totally did not understand...
like this one old guy.. "HOW DID OUR OIL GET UNDER THEIR SAND?"
i mean, wasn't it supposed to be an anti-war rally? that sounds pro-war...
i dunno, i was only there as a stop on the way to brooklyn :)

Did we set an all-time placards-record today? Thanks to all the eps/pdf/gif/flash posters that were available on the net for printing at home?
I like this Flash poster-print app that was made by Chris MacGregor of Flazoom.com:

i was on the demo in london, it was amazing, even with the official figure of 750000 people, it's more than any other demonstration ever seen in this country! all streets in the center where completely blocked with people of all ages and colours... inofficial voices speak of 2 million people, it's probably something inbetween the two numbers. blair+bush, think again, do we still need war in modern times?
- clint0
you'll probably find similar pictures of bush and osama, it's not a joke!!
