"Simply knowing 3D does not make you a good designer."
-Flashdevils Interview
These guys totally need to take their own advice.
There is NO design in their site. The 3D work is original and well-done. But if they want to consider themselves 'designers' they need to rethink their strategy.

lilbabyarm - you hit the tiny nail on the head with a sledgehammer. So true.
Please allow me to dispel some of the confusion I see coming from this thread. Truth is yes Who's We DID infact try to contact several designers because we are experiencing growth in the company and we managed to find three designers from the US and will be bringing them in soon with room for one 3d artist. I don't see the reasoning behind calling us "jackasses" if we were the ones that recongnized the talent and sought after their skillset. We operate as a family, not a corporate presence and that is something of great value to us. Our motto has always been work hard and play rociously (together as a family). Unlike headhunter agencies and other means of conventional hire, our CEO happens to be a brilliant psychologist with little room for ignorance. His aggressive behavior during the interview process allows him to attain more information about the potential hire than any conventional interview process in corporate america. Any active designer in the industry will tell you how important
deadlines must be met (by any means). Who's We's work pace is faster than your typical design firm. When people can't wait for the weekend to party, we are in the dungeon exploring new strategies and methods
for stimulation. Our portfolio has not updated in a LONG while for good reasons. We are busy with good quality work (some the public will never know of). I'm saddened to see the design community come to such hate like this. We can take the criticism, if you don't like us, that's ok, and if you do, right on, but why talk $hit if all you have is an impulse opinion about a company you have no clue about. For all those who have supported us, we thank you tremendously. We wish every designer out there great success.Information Through Stimulation.

rico- if youd like to know more about the company, feel free to email me.

brilliant CEO, better interview process than anyone else, faster than typical design, busy with quality work...
hmm...I don't see what previous posts meant when they mentioned ego problems...
- unknown0
oh god... please. forgive me fellow NTers.. I beg of thee...
- PanchoPimp0
ok lyrek
Our CEO is a piece of chit. We really don't know what we are doing, and we like to hire when there is no work.
How's that for your own personal restitution?
Perception is mutha when it is invconvenient.
- mitsu0
you guys just need some good designers. your work looks to 1993. and that's something i'd say to your face, i'm not hating on you.
your team has uber talent with flash and 3d studio/ maya/ whatever, but the approach just doesn't communicate to the creative people on this board. yeah, it's tough love with this community, but hey, you can't grow or improve if everyone kisses your ass all day. best of luck to you guys.
- unknown0
yeah but it's almost time for the 90's to be "in" again. they're ahead of they're time!
seriously though. I like the site but hearing this guy go on and on about his high pressure "genius" ceo just reminds me of all the cheese associated with these kinds of operations. I used to work at a place where the CD was exactly this material. lot's of flashy 3d stuff. in fact he annoyed the hell out of me because he kept hiring 3d effects people instead of real designers.
I think whoswe can make cash though. I know corporate people will eat this stuff up.
- mitsu0
"I know corporate people will eat this stuff up."
yyyyyup.

all day long i see people crying and bitching about there being no jobs. someone comes along offering opportunities to those who could use it and they end up getting dogged...
i don't get it
- BonSeff0
im sure if the bros at whoswe were unemployed, their portfolio would be as polished and as up to date as people here.
- rico_escobar0
Sift thru some of the $hit in the "Graphic Design" part of their portfolio and tell me if these guys deserve respect in the "design" community
http://www.whoswe.com/htmlindex.…
I think I gagged. Impressive personal site. but that client work......Yikes. There must be a reason why they dont update their portfolio that much. If their portfolio represents their Good work..oh man..dont show me any more.
- PanchoPimp0
Rico... yeah we saw you posted that the first time... is this where i'm supposed to say "i'm rubber and you're glue?"
No... really... it's getting old, It's cool if you don't like the work, it doesnt effect my vacation. Thanks again for reminding me why to never post anything in a messageboard. Bad news travels quicker than good.
Anyone down for a design battle? I love those things. Maybe we can host one here in PV. How about it Rico? Please don't take this as a "my daddy can beat up your daddy" comment. I'd just love to flex some graphic design muscles. Just sucks that our real design work never makes it to the public eye for showing because of disclosure agreements.

pancho- i believe the reason there has been a stir of negatives towards you guys is that WhosWe seem to be a bunch of mega-talented guys praising themselves with massive ego's- whilst here people are just seeing talent gone to waste due to lack of design skill.
if I had stumbled upon your site, I would of been majorly impressed; your site is damn cool. Though after all the hype, it becomes rather painful to be put through.
if you guys are still around in a few years, i'm sure we'll get used to the ego and your [design] work will become top notch
and why the hell can't the public see your latest work? where does it go? not making sense.
