The site is in Dutch. Very mediocre btw. This site is part of a huge campaign going on here in the Netherlands to promote the graphic(design) industry....there appears to be a great lack of people working in the industry..
The campaign consists of a website (as shown), MANY TV commercials, billboards, ads etc. and even a National GrafiMedia Day with meetings on various place throughout the country....(i might go btw...want to win that iPod ;P )
I don't get it...so many people out of work (especially in the US)..
Maybe time to make the move over the pond?

Well, as for Amsterdam, many folks speak English, and some companies deliver work in English language only......
Anyhow, yes, the language barrier can be a bug....tho Biofreak will come over this summer and we are already helping him speak/read some Dutch words....
I just don't get it......we also have some sort of economic slowdown, why?

rockin. i told my family i was flying over in june. my mother freaked out and said "NO! there's a war coming and it wont be safe!!" my father said "wow! how much are plane tickets? i wanna go!"
haha. plane tickets in june are around $375.00 for anyone who is interested in leaving from Jackson, MS. one brief stopover (cant remember where). that is really very cheap compared to what i was expecting (500 and up - round trip)
im still very stoked about it all. excited about all your beers. mmmm beer.

hm... i was thinking that you and crab were telling me that like 8 of 10 people spoke english.
i mean, i would love to learn dutch and i plan to one way or the other, but there is not much chance that i will be able to speak it when i fly over.
do you think i will have a decent chance at finding a job if i walk into an interview with a portfolio and english as my only spoken language (latin is the only other language ive studied extensivly).
do you think i stand a good chance of finding some good work? iv got some things on the burner now that i am working on that are pretty cool, so i should have some decent work to show. =)

im going for a week in june. i got a week paid vacation. sweeeeet.
as for permanent... im really not sure presently. i like to keep my options open. =)
i am just tired of living here and doing the same old. i need a massive change in my life. if things work out well, then i may live over there for a while. who knows? certainly not me.
as a matter of fact... i dont really know much at all. my plans are WIDE open.

I am sure we will find some places that accept folks with English language...and yes, most of the people here speak English...not like France/Italy/Spain and the likes.
We'll work things out!!! Can't wait to welcome ya!
(btw. my sister is going to the US in two weeks for a small vacation, not quite the moment to step on a plane...she will visit NYC and Washington DC area I was told...on another note: we need to support the Airways biz..since they will have another very tough time ahead...possibly bankrupty for British Airways I read (due to Iraq war)...
