i've got that photoshop problem that's driven me insane.
i'm using photoshop 7.0.1 on mac os x 10.2.3 and everytime i zoom into some artwork to do some pixel tweeking, all pixels seem to be slightly deranged. anyone had a similar problem?

Are you only experiencing the problem at certain zoom percentages? Because in PS if you zoom at odd numbers it will be distorted. Like 50% and 100% are clear whereas 66.7% looks distorted. I find that if you just use the Apple + plus or minus keys to zoom instead of the magnifying glass you will have better luck.

thanks i'll try that...
(i never used to have that problem on os 9)
it's like when i zoom in and use the pencil tool to draw one pixel, it appears one pixel offset from its real position, i then have to erase it and draw it again a pixel offset, complete nightmare, wondered if this is a known bug on ps on os x...

Do you have snap to grid or snap to guides on? that might cause it. Or even just having a guide hidden. Not sure...

still weird, but the apple + - key thing works, i guess i will use that from now on.
thanks a lot for the tip!

yeah, switch to pc and it'll work itself out.

it's a zoomign problem
if you make a seclection to zoom in on - you get a screwey zoom percentage - and the software has to figure out exactly where a a pixel is even though it's not represented correctly on the screen when you zoom in like that.Basically, if a pixel fall sinbetween 2 pixels represented on your screen, and you paint the left side it has to guess if you're painting the pixel on the right or left.
it's like taking two grids and offsetting one so they don't match up

makes sence, thanks.
