InDesign: mac --> pc ?

is it possible to open an InDesign file which was created on a mac, on a pc?
do I need any additonal components?thanks.

i reckon so, but you'll need to put the .indd file extension on it cos macs don't and windows won't open it without it.

adding .indd - that's what I did ...
inDesign (pc) couldn't open it ...thx anyway

alright it's working - the problem was sending the file via e-mail, it seems it fucked the file up

You should always zip stuff up for email, especially if you're crossing platforms.

that's a good call Cy, i had a load of shit with emailed mac files last week. Couldn't get any of them work on the pc. Then when they zipped them up for me it was fine. An easy solution to something that had been pissing me off for ages
