should i include a cover letter in the bpdy of the email and attach the resume, or just send the resume in the body or both the cover letter and resume?
i have no idea...

Seems like a decent idea. I'd suggest a cover letter in the body, then a PDF file for the resume itself. Text always gets screwed up in emails, so better it looks good in at least one place. Links in the body may not be a bad idea (of your best work or a link to your website).

text does get wacked out in emails..but if someone you didn't know sent you an attatchment..would you open it?
i always keep the resume as simple as possable and just send straight up in the email cause some people won't open attatchments unless they know they are ok
just a thought

perhaps a link
to a Flash or html resume
with a pdf download option might be
a good idea. Some type of introduction
by way of text in the e-mail body would also be a good idea.
