I'm looking to buy a color injet and was hoping some of you would have some avice. Right now I'm looking at the Epson 1520 and 1289 as well as the HP 1700 and 1220. Does anyone own one of these or recommend something else?

I've had the HP 1220 for a couple of years now and highly recommend it. The color photo output is equal to the Epsons in quality, but b+w text is much crisper on the HP. The 1220 is also faster & MUCH more quiet than the Epson I previously owned.
Just my 2 cents...

i have the hp1700 with the RIP software and am very happy with it...beautiful color, quick printing, and versatility. Only gripe is that it's BIG, but it's still well worth the money. Also, it has separate color profiles for different media types, which is slightly annoying but only slightly...If you set up your color correction right, you can have near dead-on accurate proofs from this baby. Prints wonderful photographs as well...
