I'm looking to get a fairly small run (500 or so) of CD's burned w/ jewel case and printed cover.
Something cheap, even if it's a little bit ghetto is ok. Also need
the jewel case, printing for the cover (one sheet with cover image on
the outside and another image on the inside. And then an image on the
back with track listings, etc. Would also be cool to have them shrink
wrapped as well.So to make a long story short, does anyone know where I could go to
get a job like this done? Any websites, or experiences that anyone
has had with this sort of thing?any input is greatly appreciated!
thanks

you sure you wanna screen print them?
you know you can buy CDs now that have a blank white surface and you can get some etmplates and print on the precut adhesive paper.
if you dont mind ghetto, then maybe it could be an option.
*note - i am not being a smart ass. screenprinting can get expensive quick. and unless you are massproducing, then ...

atually, the cd could just have a normal lo-budget label on it... im really concerned with the printing in the jewelcase, etc.

most places minimum run is 1000 if my memory serves me correctly - they may do 500 but it will cost you big bucks

just about every manufacturer will tell you to just make 1,000 cd's. the difference between 500 and a 1,000 is usually like $100 - $150.
Big mistake to do adhesive labels though. It won't be long before they are peeling up. They can even screw up the balance of the disc and not work in some players.
Where are you located? you sure there isn't a duplicator around you?
If get 1000 cd's made, expect to pay anywhere from $1,200 to $1,500. Some are cheaper, some are not.
If you don't mind ghetto, then go with the cheapest cd duplicator you can find. I'm sure the print will look like shit and they'll probably put your traycards in upside down. But hey, you want ghetto, you got it.
Pick up a "Mix" magazine, check out the back for ads. There are 1001 cd manufacturers out there.
