Is it just me, or does the uncertainty of this industry seem to be settling a little. I mean no disrespect to those in search of work, but I'm finding myself busier then I have been in at least a year. It's the same for some of the other designers I know. I also notice job ads popping up much more often. I'm not saying it's great, I also know some fine designers on the prowl and my experience is limited to a small, isolated, Canadian city.
How is it where you live? Could there be hope?

this one will roust all the people pissed off that it hasn't changed that much. I think it's been basically the same for the last two years, with the exception of the fallout around 9/11. I think it won't change that much for a few years too. Maybe it'll get a little easier to get a job when more people leave the industry and the schools shut down more new media/advertising/design curriculums.
