shera. its not always time management. When you can have a typical 5, or maybe even 6 assignments on the go at once, it can get difficult. And there can be moments were over time is a must. Id be interested to hear you opinion once you've worked in the industry... would be quite entertaining to hear ;P

When I worked at a dot com....we had what was called FACE time.....sure everyone here has heard of it. There was one fuckin martyr that alwaaaaaaays stayed late....I hated the fucker.....so when he would come in at 11am....and leave at 9pm...I was expected to do the same.... I didnt mind working extra hours b/c we wanted to accomplish something... BUT I WOULD GET THERE AT 8:30am.. ...everyday.... so while he was working 9 hours....I was working like 12..... but my responsibilities required that I was there early....
I had a choice back then to quit...but now I dont.... I have been on 3-4 hours a night for 4 months.... and my left eye is twitching.....When do you say enough? You can't if you work for yourself..... when you work for someone else there is a bargaining chip....
When you are on your own...there is no one to tell you to quit......
my girlfriend has been in europe for 2 weeks....I have been sleeping even less and pulled a 35 hour day(s) last week....I then slept for about 6 and got up and worked 18......
So to anyone who says time management....its not that...its that when you have to hustle you feel like sleeping is a waste of time.....or you feel like if you sleep you will miss the next job or something.....
my girl is the only one that forces me to stop and take a break...otherwise I dont until I collapse..... there is nothing that I can do right now because this industry sucks.....and the next gig might slip away if you dont work hard enough....
Just a yes or no if anyone else out there is going through the same thing.......
Sorry for the rant...... I needed to get that off my chest......
