Biofreak:
"6. abolish extremist religion. "
I think it should read:
"6. abolish religion. period."

Instead of crashing at the gates of Baghdad like an elephant on speed, armed with a baseball bat how about considering using the will of the people...the Iraqi people. Seems like Uncle Tom and all have had their say whilst sitting next to Paula Zahn yet no one has let these people speak.
(Sidenote: And i'm not talking about the Blairite Opposition Parties that have been whining and dining in London of recent times, getting ready to carve up the left overs into bite size chunks of oilprofitability. If they were really for regime change they would be in Iraq, fighting for their lives and freedom.)
Seems to me that this is a possible scenario, a revolution on the streets by those that live and breathe in Iraqi. It happened in Romania, it tore down the Berlin Wall and brought an end to the Soviet Union.
So why can't it work here?

of course some revisions would be necessary, and massive additions but... that is the gist.

solutions:
1. mass produce electric cars. we have the technology already.
2. massive exchange program for citizens of all countries to mix and mingle.
3. abolish money.
4. cross breed communism and socialism with democracy. implement teh new system.
5. enforce a one child per couple law and sterilization of both parents after that childs birth while saving semen and eggs in case of the childs death.
6. abolish extremist religion.
7. discourage the belief in supernatural forces (not abolish, just discourage)
8. fat people must give food to the starving.

exactly mitsu, that is very true, everyone wants to look at this in a one-sided way, like well let's not take him out. Then what?

i'm still interested in hearing a pacificts solution to dealing with hussein... not to prepare a counter-argument, but to be given a different and intellegent perspective on the issue.

never trust any men who take cold, raw pork baths then roll around in scallions then play with gold plated RC SUVS equipped with thermonuclear missile.

imagine Russia or Germany or China or any nation said "hey US we feel Sadam needs to taken out. you've already fought with him so don't worry we'll take care of it"
Do you think the US would let russia wage war with Iraq - even if they claimed their only motivation was to get Saddam out of power?
honestly, do you think the US would let anyone else fight this "war on terror" - NO
...and why is that?
