They never do anything that grand at the jan. mac expos.
Plus they can't abannon they current mercahndise.
What are your thoughts?

even thogh they are a rumor site, they have benn almost 100% correct in the past.

I heard they were considering charging for 'digital hub' software updates. I'm not sure that's such a great idea. I love iTunes, but I don't think I'd pay for v.4.

I waiting for G5s before I buy my next computer. I have a feeling that will be sometime this year. The last time Apple made dual processors was in the final days of the PowerMac era. Then came the G3s. It will be closer when you start to see prices drop to clear out inventory. It happened when I bought my G3 two weeks before G4s were announced. I'm still pissed about that and won't let it happen again.

um... cybrainx... they already have dual processors... (in the towers).
as for waiting for a G5... that's a long way off buddy. their be making a decision shortly whether to stick with IBM's chips, or make the move to the dark side (intel).
as for mwsf, i saw this article today... seems a bit far fetched... and i'm not quite sure what it'll do that's really worth while. but nonetheless, let the rumors fly...

"[Apple] may unveil a version of its popular iPod music player that will play movies, said analyst Rob Enderle of Giga Information Group"
but if i were to place bets, it'd be with http://www.thinksecret.com 's predictions. doesn't look too exciting.
but you can still count on me having one of my computers dedicated to the keynote this tuesday at work!

actually, the move to make is to move to new IBM Power4 chips replacing Motorolla g4's. that's the first baby step to make, esp since motorolla chips ain't gonna go any faster and IBM can go 64-bit.
apple won't move to intel for mac computers. they may sell mac os x for intel once microsoft pisses them off enough, but I can imagine that being a mess for consumer-level types (where are the drivers for xxx?).

most of the rumor sites are pretty pessimistic... here's a more optimistic one...
it's likely to dissappoint though... it'll sure get your hopes up though.
