hello everybody. does anyone know what media types can be used on the os/2 plattform ? anything like a web browser, a flash/shockwave plugin or something like that `?
please help me ot on that one... !

didn't everybody stop supporting os/2 like 5 years ago?
you could probably find shockwave plugins and the like, but I doubt you'll be able to run recent content (shock 7-8.5) on it, as most objects will request that you DL the new version.
what are you doing on os/2 anyways? old computer?
you're best bet would be to DL a linux based OS and run that, there's a large community developing pretty good products for linux, and a lot of them are free.

nah, i wouldn´t use it anyway. but a huge customer who needs a rich media app for it´s employees. they are running os/2 on every f****** machine in their g****** house...

There's an OS/2 version of the Mozilla browser afaik. Don't know bout flash and shockwave tho

recently, the linux flash player 6 was released. but, i don't recall anything during the beta testing that mentioned os/2. you can ask on the macromedia site forums...
i think someone mentioned the future possibility of a port or other operating systems, other than just windows, mac and linux.
but i don't think it's happened yet.
you could build your rich application in delphi or other high level language...it might be possible to embed the media content within the app to play, regardless of the platform.
remember, cd-roms were made before director and flash were in use, folks...
