I lay her down upon the designers alter of sacrifice. I have put so much loving time and effort into it.
now go and be destroyed
not really, dont destroy it, but constructive critisism would help and...... well you know.

The middle right image animation is kind of choppy.
looks like crashmedia.com

yo.
ok mr man. on constructive thingy comin up.
1. the motion animation is nice in that it will catch your clients attention. they will dig it.
2. the logo looks a bit unpolished. and i might consider another font for the nav/logotag line.
3. the background on the page is a bit distracting and too pronounced. drop those dots down a bit in intensity. they overpower the graphics.
4. if you are gonna use that 45 degree angle in your "feedback center" then i might suggest not making it so prounounced. use it subtly. just a few pixels worth. dig?
5. the light blue bar that says "navigation" kinda ends abruptly with no relation to anything else. id say extend it or kill the box all together.
6. remember, understatement is better than overstatement. (so says me)
7. feel free to disregard my comments and leave as is. i mean these comments only as constructive ideas.

I have to be honest ok? I don't like it that much and I am not saying that I am very good, but the color scheme is bad, looks like too many other sites, some of which already are not very good. Now the positives. I like the scrolling area, even though I can tell you took that from Flash MX tutorials. Also, I like the angular images that you've used to the right middle as well as the motion graphics, that is NICE, in fact I wouldn't mind seeing how you did it. Which makes me think that you are a good multimedia guy, but have a lack of a sense of style or design. I wouldn't mind helping you out one some Flash-based imagery stuff, but that up to you. Why don't you E-mail me if you like? Also choice of fonts need to be improved.

that crashmedia site is kinda tight.

im sure you put in a lot o work and it looks designed, but why flash for the whole site? the top animation is kinda cool but some contrast in color would be nice. its too blue. but a good site none the less
- BonSeff0
also i tried the key stroke navs and it didnt work
mac 9.2 IE5dude, its a nice site, mix in some color

Also get rid of the dots on the side, make it look metallic if you have to, the functionality is great but the look is kinda' not good.

let me point you towards some fonts that might work better and look better in Flash: http://www.dafont.com or http://www.minml.com and find some of the free pixel based fonts, which usually look best in either 8, 9 or 10 point size.

You have room to keep your navigation expanded by default so why hide it? Navigation isn't just a means to navigate, it also advertises chapters/sections of a site so it's important to display navigation clearly.
- monNom0
it's too blue.
like, way too blue, and like #0000FF blue too, which is about the harshest blue available
that video thing behind the logo is really cool but I didn't like the fact that you used the exact same thing on that movie listings site... kinda makes you look like a one trick pony (even though i know you're not, but a different take on that concept would maybe spread things out a bit...)
why is the nav hidden?
it took FOREVER for me to find it (I guess i was distracted by the cool motion thing) and I was looking all around where your news feed is because that's where the content of the site seems to be... which leads me to think that perhaps bringing the nav down to below the animation would be a wise choice.
(your intro has all the content boxes flash into place, effectivly fixing your eye in that area, you should have the nav there, or not to far away.)
cool site otherwise, keep up the good work!

Really quick:
The sound is a bit overwhelming. It would be nice to have a sound off option.
I background dots color scheme is a bit off and is probably, as someone said, a bit too pronounced.
Why hide the navigation bar? It fits in perfectly with your schematic.
The font used for navigation and subnav could are kind of unfitting with your layout. Something more minimal, smaller yet.
The blues are overwhelming as well. You could possibly keep it blue still, but I don't think your contrast is fitting. Kind of hurts the eyes. Too blunt? But this one's really subjective.
Just constructive help. Good work, nonetheless. Represent TX!

SOUND SUCKS. I was listening to Squarepusher and I suddenly thought: WTF!! Is he out of his mind? What's that fucked up noise in the background? It appeared to be your 'blue pill'...
Want me to listen to 'your sound'? I would be pleased if you'd first ask me..
And sorry to say this, but I hate that animation stuff... mainly because my processor doesn't like it, I guess..

I don't think it looks like CrashMedia... I hate it when designers chop out that dis.
I think people are reacting badly to the blue because they aren't expecting it.
When I was sitting looking at the logo while the site loaded, the logo style is kinda funky, the name and styling make you think it is going to be tongue in cheek, retro playboy style, and then the styling changes into very blocky and corporate blue.
There is nothing wrong with corporate blue, but it doesn't seem to match the logo / loading page. Maybe if you used some of the varying lineweights that the logo employs? If you used some of this in the styling it would tie them together more but hey it's your call, you probably want your business to look more corporate than playboy.
The top animation is really good. Nice one.
The font seems to be vertically compressed. I can see how you want the style of the font to match the logo but it's not quite working with that font. There has to be a similar font that works better across all sizes.
Don't give up - keep improving it!

You're not responding back. I hope you weren't expecting to be showered with glowing compliments. Hope you're not discouraged either about posting here again. People are good here; they take their time to help others out.
Good luck on your work. Take care.

I think the animation is fab, looks really nice on my screen and I like the ambient feeling of the site in general. I like the sound though I think there should be an option to turn it off!!!
Colourchoices I think are fine...I don't think this can be too blue seeing as this is what your going for.
criticisms : I really don't like the "site feedback centre" - I don't need to be told what I just pressed , I already know !! also I can't understand why the navigation is hidden at first - doing that is just adding one more barrier between the user and the content. apart from that I think it's looking good.

Damn, I do not know what to feel.
I am not sure if the positive comments are there to just be nice or are they sincere.
I love the negative comments, I don't know why someone would want to lie insincerly. Plus they can only help...
I made this site to impress my prospective clients. When ever they see it, they are like DAAMNN, but that is because design in my town sucks, not that mine is any better, well maybe juuuust a little.

cesar. again I would be willing to help you out bro. Give you some good fonts to use that work best in flash and what not, let me know.
- cesar0
Oh and one last thing,
I just saw the crashmedia site, and I don't think there are too many similaritys. I took over the company after the logo had already been made and established. I had to work with it.
Finally, much respect to all who gave true statements about the site, they really help out and that is what NT is all about.
got any more?????

Jason X,
I would love to hear some of your input, I have not been designing too long, but I am slowly finding my groove...
