Why do .eps files look crappy after imported into Word? I need to make them look as crisp in Word as they did in Illustrator. Anyone have a solution to this?

Right now, I'm stuck at a long-term temp job where for 6 months I did nothing but Word and Powerpoint work, so I'm pretty used to this issue. Thank God I'm now being used solely for web-related work, otherwise I'd have pulled my hair out by now if I ever saw another 150 slide PowerPoint deck.
My best suggestion would be to use the WMF (Windows Metafile) format, exported from Illustrator. If you're more concerned about print quality without raster jaggies, this is the best way to go.
However, if you plan on using this on-screen only, then JPEG will do.
