i've been trying to draw ribbons like the ones that are on harley davidson shirts for a little bit now, some come out good but most don't look good to me. does anyone know a site or a tutorial or any tips on how to get the perfect ribbons look. here's a link to what i'm talking about...
thanks guys...any help would rock.

any drawers out there?

strange question.
i don't know, fluidity is key. and making sure you have the part that (generally) is being used as a stage for words etc. needs to have mirrored top and bottom lines so it looks like a flat piece of ribbon. then do curl the curl back ribbon thing, and make sure the line that extends to meet the main ribbon part, is vertical, so it looks like a part of the ribbon.i don't know, practice, you'll get it!

why are you trying to draw it? Why not search out clip art?

i have tried clip art...i got a whole bunch of it at work...i always forget tho and i want to draw things from scratch. maybe i'll clip art it. it's for a shirt design i was doing for this honda dealer in florida.

I don't want to hear anymore of this "clip art".

you have a drawing problem or an adobe illustrator technique problem?
can you draw?

yeah i can draw, they just don't come out right...i mean i like perfection.

let it flow, draw one half, then copy it and flip it horizontaly and it should work.
but anyways, the drawing process is like that, you draw and draw untill youre happy, just keep doing it or get some clip art.
