c'mon, say it. you design? in what? doing it professionally? freelance, fulltime? student?
we all assume we're a bunch of young web designers here but it's nice to back it up with some FACTS.

I am an out of work Technical Writer/Web Developer. Worked in NYC during 9/11. Currently developing my own Sound Loop CD called Loopkit Pro v1.0, with a buddy of mine. Also working part-time for a consulting company, being outsourced to a company called FORUM, and the work if for a Microsoft Intranet. Waiting to hear whether or not I got a Multimedia Developers position for Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, USA.

trained in graphic design, work as a web designer... trying to get a job as an interface designer.
I've found I try to learn to much and can't focus. I think it's an important lesson to remember that you can't be awesome at everything, so bust your ass with one field and make yourself known.

Illustrator and graphic designer. Freelance illustrator for about 8 years. Took time off from that to raise three kids. Still raising them. In the meantime, got a job as graphic designer, then moved to another job (where I am now) as creative director. Itching to get back to illustration. In the process of creating ideas for my own comic. We'll see what happens.
