Seen it last week with press tickets.
Good film, but they spend too much camera time gazing at the scenery, other than that i cant wait for the third!..next year...bugger!

anyway, the CGI of the Gollum in the movie is the most realistic ive seen to date of a character in a movie.

of course rotten tomatoes has a high rating...
it takes all the reveiws from around the world (90% America centric) and then they declare that reveiw to be either Good or Bad.
You can't place a reveiw into one of these simplistic catagories, a film has layers.

Y Tu Mama Tambien.well amelie is my best movie ever .. i think nothing comes even close ... i heard y tu mama tambien is awesome but the others i didnt see .... do you watch movies from quebec? i could name a few ud love ... anyways .. think about it ... I wanted to show the movie "diner de con" to some one .. if u dont know (which i doubt) thats a french movie... the 1st reaction of that person is ... i dont like french movies ... dumb fucking cock sucker ... anywyas ... I think paul is bitter cause it wasnt made in oz, but then again paul is a bit bitter about most things. the kiwis did a great job of it in my book. i love number one, good escapism

the first one was long, boring, and i thought the cg was fairly lackluster for something of such high regard. i probably won't see the 2nd one, as it is just as long, and there still isnt any real ending to it yet. i haven't read the books, im not a fantasy fan, i dont play warhammer, and i think 8 1/2, taxi driver, ronin, man bites dog, l.i.e., dreams, leon, etc etc are good movies.
though i guess i am not part of it's target audience so it doesn't matter.

Hey paul2358 to appreciate a good movie you need to go to the teather, or get the DVD when it comes out to view at home, if you keep downloading those DIVx rips from KaZaA you won't appreciate nothing, stop being a cheap ass!

First: Y Tu Mama Tambien was one my favourite movies this year.
Second: Lord of the Rings is based in an english book loved my many worldwide. It took a passionate person like Peter Jackson, from New Zealand, to put to screen something as close as possible to the original work.
He made this projects with the Holywood's (New Line Cinema) money? Who gives a sh*t? As long as it remains true to the filmmakers/guidelines spirit.
Oh, by the way. the "Y Tu Mama Tambien" director, Alfonso Cuaron is going to be the nex Harry Potter director:

I just watched it at a gala premier on 17th, Tuesday. The Two Towers is more gory than the Fellowship, with more battle scenes. And you definately have to watch the Fellowship before Two Towers, 'cause it has no beginning and ending. It didn't recap the situation from the Fellowship.... you've been warned.
But I think Gollum stole the show, he looks so real, fighting his own split personality... And the places were beautiful, I especially love Edoras(?).
I admire how Legolas is so swift in action, Aragorn's fighting spirit & Arwen's beauty... oh I didn't catch that other girl's name. The one who seemed to be attracting Aragorn's attention...
The movie is just *amazing* can't wait for next year!

i'm not bitter about hollywood at all. you might notice that 2 of the films in my list were funded by hollywood.
the only reason i mentioned it, is because when a film has a mammoth budget on the line,
a) the film takes less risks.
and
b) reveiws are skewed because the reveiwers often have money invested or freinds who have money invested in this movie. ie 'don't shit in your own nest'.nope, i didn't get a chance to see vidocq - it was only released for 1 week :'( and the DVD isn't out here yet.
