So i offered to do a logo for a project my girlfriend's little brother is doing. He's building a community site for the youth gay/lesbian community in our city....
Im looking for any well designed logos for gay/lesbian groups, so far ive yet to find any. Thanks guys.

the best ones i've seen fall int a couple of categories: ironic stuff (eg men with taches and leather hats/big bull-dykes holding hands); bad pastiches like the US flag made with rainbow stripes, or the GAP logo with the top bar taken off the P, but they're a bit over-obvious.
having lived in a gay town for 6 months, i think the reason that there are no decent 'gay logos' out there is that anyone who's really thought about it realises that the gender of person that you want to sleep with shouldn't really influence your choice of friends/community groups. promoting a gay only event is a bit of a ridiculous concept - like promoting a whites only event - hence thoughtful designers always seem to come out with the ironic, over-emphasised logos mentioned above. integration not segregation blah blah blah.
or maybe i'm just talking shit. if you find any good gay logos post them up though, i'd like to see them.

i totally agree that everyone should just be integrated, but this is actually a pretty good thing. Its for the gay and lesbian youth support group he goes to. He came out at 16, had to live the catholic school he was at because of the shit he got for it, all his friends turned their backs on him and this support group was all he had. Now he's in his senior year at an alternative school called 'school without walls', its a weird place, no grades and stuff, but there is a significant gay population there and everyone is very tolerant.
Regardless, this is his senior project and i offered to help out, not realizing what i was getting myself into.
