it's a possibility... but i think there are a lot of people out there now who are single... not just designers. it may be because now we have to work 2wce as hard to make ends meet that we have no time to date, but i seem to be doing just fine.
here's a little something to ponder. i don't get out much. maybe once or twice during the week, and both friday and sat on the weekends... one of those days i reserve for dates, which i've had a date every weekend for the past few months. rarely with the same girl. next time your out... anywhere... go up to every single girl you find attractive and strike up a conversation. it's all in the numbers man. you only talk to 2 girls the odds are against you... talk to 20 and you have a much better chance of meeting someone and getting a #. get out more... life is way to short to sit behind a screen beating off to internet porn.
*as i sit behind my screen beating off to internet porn.

funny.
i can't think of one other job out there that gets as many women as this one...
albeit in different areas of the job...
In canada here, we have the marketing awards...
a bit steep for tickets, but last time i went, it was probably 3/4's women...
and INCREDIBLY hot ones at that..
hell, if i'd been single, it would have been unbelievable...
most agencies iv'e worked for have been pretty good at having a lot of women on staff too...some in design, some as suits, sales, marketing..whatever..
and girls DIG artsy designer types..
get out..
enjoy life...
meet people.then again, i've been with my girl for about 10 years now, and married for 3 1/2, so i'm a bit out of date on the trials and tribulations of dating...
glad i'm married...
the dating scene was fun...
but the 'having a great wife, someone who loves you, no worries, secure relationship and lotsa love-scene is waaaaay better.. :)

I find the majority of designers have an over inflated view of what they do, how important it is, how good they are, what it means to other people, go on and on about it in pubs, are rubbish at sport, listen to the same kind of 'serious dance music', call pepper, 'crushed black peppercorns' and are a bunch of ponces!
No wonder so many are single!

everyone dies alone.
i just hope i can die alone with a smile on my face.

I think it depends on your drive to design. If you are into it, you get to be a design geek after a while. I've tried the www-dating thing. 'twas unfruitful. It's very hard to represent yourself on paper. Shit have you ever struggled to make a resume? Then if it sounds too good, everyone thinks it's bullshit 'cause "why is this person trying to date online." Catch 22 all the way, but it's fun to find out who might be attracted by the stuff you put down about yourself.
