Just got back from Stockholm and i have to say that i was very impressed, so much to see, so much to do, nice people, cool bars/clubs, clean and very chilled out. I was just wondering whether there would be any job opportunities in Stockholm for a young designer like me. Has anyone ever worked in Stockholm? Do you know how i could go about finding work out there?

I am working in Stockholm but still for my original American employer. It seems pretty tough to get a job from a Swedish creative firm - they would rather hire from inside the country, and as someone else said, there is plenty of talent in Sweden already. So getting a work permit could be difficult.
As far as living costs go, Stockholm's much more expensive than Salt Lake City, where I hail from, but maybe not much more than larger U.S. cities.
And getting a flat in Stockholm isn't impossible, but it's tough, yes. I got lucky and scored a tiny place in a great location, but the outskirts aren't too shabby compared to American suburbs.

that's freaky. Was talking to a friend it would be nice to work in another european country and we decided sweden sounds nice. So I just started exactly the same post. Im interested in the same questions, so will just watch your post.
