looking for a competent drum & bass site (not necesarily well designed, thankee). sort of a NT for the d&b world.

Calibre just released a three track tech house single on John Tejada's Palette label (http://www.paletterecordings.co... As for Polar, the word on the street is that he's done with drum'n'bass for right now, so who knows if and when he'll go back to making it.
I still like a lot of the dancefloor stuff, just not all of it.

"jungle/d&b, it's just semantics. "
bingo
as for good dnb sites? the only one i can remember is breakbeat.co.uk, which is the obvious one of course. i've moved on to breaks and house.... and havent looked back :)

dnb is so stale.

I can give you a hell of a lot of drum'n'bass loops, no sites though. They're just Hip-Hop beats quickened in tempo, something like 93 Beats Per Minute to your average 150 to 170 BPM D'n'B riff.

i second fake's http://www.breakbeat.co.uk suggestion.

...and check the 'links' section for further dnb-sites.

Pilgrim: Your opening up a can of beans demanding 'innovative' as house seems to want to go back to the eighties (ahem, electro?) and hip hop, well. Don't get me started. With the exception of Def Jux there is not much on there but bling bling.
To claim any type of music is stale is naive. You're not digging deep enough. If you don't feel it, say that and leave it be.
As for good tunes:
Klute's Lie Cheat and Steal album (most of the whole record kicks ass).
Calibres remix of Jeheim (fuck it, anything by calibre)
Intalex - barracuda
High Contrast is also doing beautiful work.
London Elektricty - Billion Dollar Gravy (the video is wicked as well)
The thing with drum and bass is that it gets better when there is no attention on it. The scene may be stale, the music keeps getting better refined.
And sites: It begins and ends with the arena. Plus radio shows on Radio One and Radio X(bbc.co.uk)
