we got fucked by canhost... our traffic went up from about 50 visitors a day to over 10000 a day for a 4 day period... rather than suggesting we upgrade to their dedicated servers, they cut our service, register.com sold our domain out from under us to canhost and we had a year left... it took weeks and much trouble as well as having to swear we will pay the $1200 bill in overage in bandwidth... it took alot to get our domain back... but really certain hosting companies suck...
