How has some good issues, Print is alright too. Although I would not say it is as must, I find Print tends to repeat so much of the work featured in their add. I have seen work 3 years in a row in their Annuals of the same piece. I decided to just get issues of Print that I like, since I canceled my subscription. Although Print is definitely better than HOW. How targets in some articles alot of desktop publisher type of people.
I checked out the type issue of Step magazine last month which was decent, but I have not checked out enough of them to judge.
If I had money I would be all over Baseline magazine.
