    The main problem is that mainstream media have labeled everything that is personal music "emo."

    Tweens think Dashboard Confessional is emo because of Time magazine and Newsweek articles about Chris Carraba and make him look like the first person to ever write a song about a breakup.
    And it's crap and so is his music, same song written over and over and over.

    People forget too easily that people like Bach, Beethoven, Verdi, etc. wrote music that came from the depths of their soul, and if we really want to get down to it, what they did was more emotional than 99% of the crap being tagged emo nowadays.
