Emo died in 1995- if anyone believes any band after that time is "emo" then you have been bought.

Emo "was' a more melodic side of hardcore music. Now-a-days it's boy bands with guitars and soda pop commericals. I consider it not unlike when hair bands of the 80's discovered after the success of Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home" that ballads can bring alot of money and chicks. Then every band there after worked on the sappiest song they could get away with. Thus, the death of hair metal- exactly where emo is heading.

Those who worry about such things is even more funny than calling "Blink 182" anything more than a piece of commerical shit.

    The curious should listen to:

    Rites of Spring
    Verbal Assault
    Reason to Believe
    Endpoint
    Ashes
    Lifetime
    Turning Point
    Flagman
    Vision
    Four Walls Falling
    Shadow Season
    Ordination of Aaron
    Policy of Three
    Split Lip
    Sensefield

    And of course the Father's..

    Sunny Day Real Estate
