  oil is NOT a conductor
  actually it's not new oil is often used as industrial cooling but not in a fish tank obviously, the ideal setup would be in a metal case with cooling fins to increase the surface in contact with air to help keeping the oil cool

  everything should work except harddisks and other disc drives
