get an aftermarket cd player. alpine or pioneer. the distortion ratio is much better with an aftermarket unit so better quality sound will go to your speakers from a CD. most new HU's play mp3 CDs. (i like this option even better than using teh ipod) Alpine and Pioneer has ipod adapters so that you can even control your ipod through your radio. it also displays song information right on the radio. best option if you want to use your ipod.
