i used to straiten the hell out of my hair because i didn't want to be treated differently.
that can really do something to a kid. for years i had a complex about it. but my situation was a little different i suppose. i went to predominately all white schools all my life. to those kids i was very different.
it was only this year that i decided i didn't need to fry the heck out of my hair for anyone but myself. and i decided that most of the time its not worth it.
