OK, we all fall into a catagory, and I think sterotyping on NT is stronger than in real life as its faceless. So maybe we should show what is and isnt true about your countries stereotype
Irish Stereotype:
we likes potatoes: true
we drink alot: true (who doesnt)
we hate the english : false, we like to think we hate them but we love them all the same.
slightly simple: False (we pretend we're a bit simple so as to get the upper hand)
Always wear green: false, we let on to tourists that green is cool so we can sell them all the shit clothes.
We are freindly: trueish, stay away from city centre dublin and you'll be ok
ok, you go...

haha, i read a survey done by an Austraslian doctor and the servey results were that Irish had the biggest dicks in the world, followed by Africans, then the Polish, no bullshit!

"Black" Stereotypes: I often get categorized and its simply not fair.
don't ask me if i know shaniqua, your black friend from grade school. i don't know every black person in the united states + Canada.
i don't like chitterlings
nobody in my family has ever been to jail.
most of my family has had some form of upper education.
i don't have tons of cousins.
i don't have a ghetto accent
i have never been to Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia or south Carolina and i have no family that lives there.
i think corn rows look stupid.
i have never been to compton.
saying "i had a black friend once" doesn't make me feel more comfortable around you.

and this site is soooo not far from the truth. http://www.blackpeopleloveus.com…

"Sally loves to touch my hair! She always asks me how I got my hair to do this. That makes me feel special. Like I have magical powers!"
it's kinda funny because i couldnt count in my fingers and toes how many white people have asked to touch my fro.
HANDS OFF. whats so amazing about an afro.

once, a racist girl said to me
"your different, your not like all the other black people i've met. i like you"her boyfriend was a natzi pretty much. very scary.
i never knew how to take that comment.

i don't think there is anything wrong with someone wanting to touch your afro, it's just curiousity. i may ask you the same. but then again i guess it could get annoying after awhile.
- shellie0
nobody ever thinks that i could get annoying after 20 years.
cos no one ever thinks.
- unknown0
after 20 years of it i'm surprised you have any hair left ;)

I'm Mexican, so I usually hang out every morning on La Cienega and Pico w/ my homies hoping to be hired by some gringo paying me 5 bucks an hour for design work :)
On the weekends I can be found cutting grass and eating burritos while trying to dry my back... life is good.
(I'm going to hell...sorry grandpa:)
