    Example.

Republicans: We should go to war in Iraq to prevent a pre-emptive strike. We should go to war to stop Saddam Hussein. We should go to war now. Don't wait, go now. Now now now. War war war.

Democrats: Well maybe we should go to war, but first we should try sanctions. But oh, the Republicans already went without us...so um...we're glad we caught Saddam Hussein, but we don't really want to go to war. We want our people to stay there a little while, but we don't have a timetable for how long, but it shouldn't be very long.

I'm giving my dramatic interpretation, of course. :)

Personally? I don't like war. I think its a lot of senseless death. But while Republicans veil their reasoning for going, at least they've got their agenda straight.

Basically, I feel like Democrats are reactionary right now. Republicans do something and Democrats react the opposite way. It makes me feel like Democrats don't have an agenda of their own to fill.
