what's your problem? you cannot see that these 2 companies are do not appeal to the same market. adobe makes there money from print based applications and macromedia's bread and butter is the web.
these 2 areas are converging and now there is one unified company that is ready to handle the growth of our industry. everyone used dreamweaver anyway, now you'll probably get it in the next creative suite instead of golive. that means instead of having to buy quark, the cs suite and macromedia studio, we will be able o plop down $500 and upgrade to eveything we really want for a lot less than we were paying and have the satisfaction of knowing it's all going to be able to work seamlessly together.
it's the same plan apple has when it designs it's software packages to work on it's systems.
i don't see anything that is bad with this dal. you are the one politicizing it becuse of your distaste for the corporate world.
