you must likely will need a H1B Visa, and the company that wants to hire you needs to start the movement.
Sometimes Immigration requires the company to post a job opening in a local newspaper to give opportunity to the local community first. Then they will reject everyone who applies, of course because they "want" you.
Then they show how no one met their requirements and so they 'need' YOU.
Now the H1B visa is issued and you are asked to go to USA to work.
In a nutshell what will take as little as 3 months or as long as a year or more.
