vorm, i think that it's better the way you've done some of them. the first and sixth ones in the second column, for instance, are far more subtle than pea. and if you're going to employ these "graphic expressions" (that's what i would call them) as masks over a typeface, you don't want to be smashing people with cast-iron skillets. that's why i don't much care for pea. it's a little too... bulky.
