i would happily help if i used, and consequently, knew anything about the two.
i know what GIMP is. and i even installed it on all our editor's workstations back when there was a publishing house division. it was perfect for quick photo edits and such for the magazines.
but, i'm not a designer. i have no creditable input on the production environment workings of said programs.
now, if you want to know about linux kernel hacking...server administration...how to use ethereal effectively...how to build your own point-of-contact router...then i'll be happy to assist.
