    I used quark for about 8 years.

    it was generally good, but InDesign is easily as good (i'd say better). Integration with PS/AI and making PDFs can't be beat. It's a hell of alot cheaper and easier to install (validation #?)

    as far as printers go, they say they "prefer" quark, but I've had absolutely no problem with InDesign files. If there really are printers left who don't accept InDesign files, they won't be in business for much longer...
