santa cruz is about 45min to an hour from san jose.. lived there all my life.. if you hit traffic on 17.. you'll be hating life.. and if you have a shitty car, watch out for it over heating.. hahaa
the bay area blows. so happy i left.. and i lived there for 27yrs..
nothing going on there.... the city has some cool spots.. but nothing i can't take in with a visit.
i see shows often at the filmore, warfield, american music hall.. been to the piers, squares, markets.. etc.. but other than that.. it's just a mess..
seattle is so much better..
