kld, not to sound rude, but it sounds like you're looking for people to reaffirm their liking of what you worked on instead of a critique.
Is this the case, or are you just trying to genuinelygive us a better idea of what this is for (which is better to know, anyway)?
It does need less of a "design program" look to it though. If I knew how to link to previous Newstoday posts, I would, but you should really refer to the "Logo Crit Please" thread. The topic totally applies here since Ivan was creating a high school logo.

Usually students in music tend to be really intelligent &/or laid back. I don't know what age group this refers to, but definitely take it into consideration. More than likely, you may want to give it a look of prestige.
